A Pizza Treat

Every Tuesday, we always have our church mentoring group meeting. It’s a time where we learn about the Bible, we talk about ourselves, our views and etc. When our mentoring group leader went to Manila, we had 2 or 3 missed meetings. Now that he’s back, we can now resume with our usual meetings.
Yesterday, he informed us that our meeting will be at Yellow Cab Pizza. Wow! My husband and I were a bit excited about the meeting. Not only was I excited but also my other group mates. We met at Yellow Cab at 6:00 PM. The amazing thing about this gathering was, we weren’t there for a meeting but all we have to do was to eat… eat.. and eat. We had so much fun especially that the pizzas tastes really so good. It was indeed a very nice treat!
Do you like garlic?
I like to add garlic in my cooking. For me, this is the most basic ingredient I used in all of my cooking. Adding garlic, adds taste and flavour and it can also enhance your cooking. For some they don’t like garlic becuase it can cause bad breath. I think all spices can cause bad breath, but let’s just be reminded to brush our teeth after eating such.
Garlic is so popular becuase it’s good for our health. It prevents blood clot and keep blood pressure down. It has also healthy heart benefits.That is why my aunt gives some garlic tablets to my mom becuase my mom has high blood pressure. Aside from health benefits, I also used this as my pet’s anti-itch remedy. I have read a book for dogs where it suggest ways to limit dog lice.One of the remedies stated on that book is to include garlic in your dogs food. I am trying it this time, but hasn’t seen the effect yet but I hope it will work.
So if you’re not into loving garlic yet, try it this time becuase its good for your heart.
Banana: My Favorite Fruit
When it comes to fruit,my first choice would be a banana. The doctor said I should avoid all kinds of yellow fruits as it can trigger asthma, but I can’t avoid this fruit. I like the taste of this fruit so much that I love to eat this anytime of the day. Aside from that, did you know that it has lots of health benefits? Here’s a list why this fruit is good for you.
1. It is a rich source of Potassium. People with low levels of Potassium in the body are advised to eat this and it has indeed improved their health.
2.Bananas is a rich source of iron, high in fiber and a good source for vitamin C(Red bananas contain more vitamin C than yellow bananas .)
3.It contains three natural sugars – sucrose, fructose and glucose, a banana gives an instant, sustained and substantial boost of energy (No wonder the banana is the number one fruit with the world’s leading athletes). Most people who also goes to the gym find this fruit beneficial.
4. It’s good for people with High Blood pressure. It is because it is low in salt and extremely high in potassium.
5. It has also good benefits on other body ailments such as anemia (rich source of iron), Stomach ulcer (banana has a natural antacid) and Constipation (high in fiber), Diarrhea (Bananas also contain electrolytes, which are essential for maintaining fluid levels and preventing dehydration).
