The Big Pineapple

Last week, we went to my cousin’s place for his wake. We stayed there overnight because it will be his burial the following day. Their family lived in Camp Philips Bukidnon a one hour ride from Cagayan de Oro City. Camp Philips is a place where pineapples of Del Monte Philippines are being planted. Also the residents of this place works at this famous pineapple company.Camp Philips 036

During our trip to their place, we have seen a lot of pineapple plants planted in the entire area. It was such a lovely scene. In fact, the place was used during a local film shoot. When you try to look at the entire area, you will be amazed with the beauty of nature. You will surely end up thanking God for such a beautiful creation. But there was one thing that has caught our attention… the Big Pineapple. Actually, the pineapple was used as a landmark for the place. My little cousins were so amazed by it. They were touching it and saw the label “Ready to Eat”… “Is this real?”.. They asked. (LOL!)

Faithfulness in Little Things

I have always been reminding myself and my husband about this all the time … ‘be faithful in little things”. This was also the lesson we have learned from today’s preaching. Most of us are so eager to desire the things that are big, things that are great, things that are enormous. Even to the simple sharing of pizza slices, we tend to desire to have the biggest slice. That is most of the time our nature as a person. Being faithful in little things is being able to appreciate everything God has given us. We are so easily tempted to desire those things we don’t have and end up not appreciating all the blessings God has given us. We need to be grateful for all the things God has given us. Before God will give us the big things in life, he first sets our heart. That is why God always starts with little things to prepare our hearts for greater things. So don’t despair with the little things you have right now. Learn to appreciate all these things and use it all for God’s glory.

“He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much;and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much.” (Luke 16:10)

Going on a Field Trip

Our school will be having a Field Trip tomorrow. We will be visiting the different places in the community and get to know a lot of community helpers. Our first stop would be at the fire department. I am very excited to see their facial expressions when they see a fire truck and even a fire fighter. Our next stop is at the Police Station. I hope the kids will not be afraid of the policemen but they will get inspired to be policemen when they grow up. Our third stop will be at the Post Office and the kids will be mailing letters for their parents. Take note, they’re the one who made the letters and I’m sure their parents will like it. Last stop is at Pizza Hut, where they will have the chance to meet a real baker and they will also bake a pizza for themselves.
