Got My Notification Letter

Right after I was discharged from the hospital, our neighbor came by the house to hand us our mails. There was no one in the house to receive our mails because we were in the hospital, our neighbor was the one who received. I was wondering what it is all about but when I finally received it, I was happy to to find out that it’s the letter that I have been waiting for… the notification letter in order for me to claim the prize I won in the contest.

Guess what? My prize was Php 50,000 pesos worth of Gift Certificates. This is truly amazing. It was mentioned on the letter that I can claim my prize on May 11, 2010. Can’t wait for that day to come, I’m so excited right now! Wohoooo!

Home Sweet Home

Thank God! I am finally home. I’m so glad that I am already well and I can now go on with my normal life. I’m still feeling a bit weak but I’m happy now that I am home already because I will no longer have to worry about hospital bills and other expenses.

I thank God for giving me a loving and caring husband who untiringly took good care of me when I was in the hospital. I am also thankful to my family and relatives who were there to help me in the hospital especially my cousin Maris. I thank my friends who gave their time visiting me in the hospital and offered special prayers for me.

Most of all, I thank God for healing me , for providing all the finances for our hospital bills and most of all for bringing me home safe and sound.

To God be the Glory!

The Pulmonary Function Test

It’s my Day 5 here in the hospital and the doctor said that I will have to stay for one more day. He even told me that I will have to undergo a Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) this afternoon. He told me that the PFT is a test to measure how well my lungs take in and release air.

I was curious about the test so I Googled a bit so that I will be prepared for it. I was happy to know that the test doesn’t involved needles and the like but all I need to do is blow and inhale air through the use of a special gadget.

Afternoon came and it was time for me to take the test. The Nurse explained to me how the test is done and in front of the computer screen, there’s a picture of a cake with lots of candles. My aim was to blow all the candles as much as I can. At the back of my mind, it was very easy but I only got four candles and the rest was still lighted. The Nurse was so kind to help me inhale and release air, and good thing I got a normal result.

For all of you who are not so familiar about this test, it looks like the photo below.
