Asthma Prevention

Two months ago, I was hospitalized because of asthma. The doctor gave me a lot of medicines and until now I am still on maintenance. Aside from taking a lot of medicines, I always make sure that nothing triggers my asthma.  According to experts, asthma symptoms can be substantially reduced by avoiding known allergens and respiratory irritants. In my own experience, the most common allergens that trigger my asthma are dust mites. According to studies, the exposure to certain dust mites can be reduced by encasing mattresses and pillows in allergen-impermeable covers, removing carpets from bedrooms, vacuuming regularly and by using a dehumidifier.

So far I am not using carpets because I know its not good for my body. When it comes to bed covers and bed linens I change it frequently. I am excited to try using a vacuum and a dehumidifier especially for my room and check on its effect on my health.

The Panda Bear

My cousin is so insecure about her face because she has dark circles around her eyes.When we were still little kids we used to make fun of her and call her panda bear. She will laugh about it but most of the time she cried. One of her solution is to cover her the dark circles with a very thick powder or use her mom’s concealer but her mom wouldn’t allow her yet because she was just a little girl.

When she was already in college, I noticed a lot of changes in her face. She has turned into a lovely lady and her face just looks so radiant. I asked her about the changes and she told me that she placed a cream that would hide dark circles around eyes . I am not sure if the dark circles where treated because of that cream but the change in her face is just so amazing. Whenever she is reminded of the panda bear story during our childhood, she would just laugh about it and she’s now proud of how she looks.

On the Go

Now that I am teaching full time, I noticed that my life is totally on the go. I need to sleep early at night because I need to wake up early for school. There were times that I failed to eat breakfast and drink my vitamins because I am afraid that I might be late for school.

When I’m in school, I am also doing things in a rush. Whenever I check my student’s work I always make sure that I finished it as fast as I can because kids easily gets bored, and when they are bored many things happen.

My life has been busy these days. I miss those days where I can just sit down and have nothing to worry about it. But despite of this busy schedule, I am still thankful that God has given me enough strength to go on and enjoy every moment I spent with the kids.
