Last Thursday my mother in law and I joined a wedding celebration. It was one of the nicest wedding parties I’ve joined. It was full of fun and everyone there were all happy for the newly wedded couple.

One of the things I like was the wedding decoration. The venue was filled with flowers and beads. On the stage was glass vases filled with beautiful fresh flowers. Drapes were in place matched with pink lights. It was truly a night to remember.

Before the wedding party started, they prepared cocktail foods on the lobby. Cocktail drinks were served in a pink Lolita glass. I find it very cute. Other drinks were served using a whisky glass and other colorful tumblers.

The entrance of the newly wedded couple was truly a blast. I find it very unique because they danced to the tune “Sway”. Everyone laughed out loud as the couple showed their groovy dance moves. It was such a fun sight! I truly admire the couple’s talents in dancing. I can’t imagine myself dancing during my wedding because I am not good in dancing.

I was a bit moved during the bride’s last dance with her father. I felt teary eyed because that was an experience I never had in my life. I almost cried, but I take hold of my emotions that day. I diverted my attention and just let my mind wander by looking at the beautiful decoration.

Lastly, I enjoyed the food. They have a huge table filled with sweets. Their “mango float” dessert was placed in cute tumblers. Chocolate cupcakes, brownies and other sweets were all placed in a glass tray. I tried every sweets served in the table. It was very delicious.

If I am going to renew my vows with my husband, I’m planning to have a joyful wedding like theirs. It was truly a celebration of love!

My cousin is so busy today because she will be attending their school’s acquaintance party. It’s a party intended for freshmen college students wherein they need to interact and bond with other freshmen. Added to that, they will also be given the opportunity to learn about the school’s policies and guidelines. The party will start at 2:00 PM and she already left the house at 9:00 AM. She left early because she still have to look for the best urban clothes that she can wear for the party. College students nowadays are so stylish and they want clothes that will create a great impact on their personality. I hope my cousin will look beautiful on their acquaintance party. Hoping that she will have fun too!

Every school here in the Philippines celebrates Nutrition Month in the month of July. I find this activity very helpful to little children because it gives them the opportunity to be reminded to eat the right kinds of food. When I was still in high school, I couldn’t forget our cooking contest were all the participants are required to cook a nutritious meal. My classmate was our representative and we were very happy that she won. Her recipe was “Pineapple Chicken with Milk”. After the contest, we all ate the dish she prepared.

Anyway, we also had our Nutrition Month celebration in our school last July 31, 2010. It was a short program for our pre-school kids and we all had fun witnessing their talents in dancing. The kids were also very happy because we had so much fun in the games like the Bring-Me game and the funniest banana eating contest.

It was truly a fun activity for all of us.
