This is a water melon flower. I took this photo at my brother’s wedding. I find it fascinating and wished I knew how to carve fruits.
The purpose of fruit carving is to make food more attractive, more appetizing as well as easy to eat. However, I didn’t eat this water melon flower because I find it really beautiful.
I got curious of how this flower is being done. I searched videos on YouTube and I found one by Mr. Koy Touch. It looks very easy but I think it requires a specialized tool to carve the fruits. I also think I will need to have more practice in order to make a perfect water melon flower.
