My preschool students enjoy pretend play. Every time I teach them about the different countries of the world, they are excited about it because they will have the opportunity to have a glimpse of that specific country. They will have the chance to learn about different landmarks and speak a little bit of it’s language. When I introduced them the country Mexico, I greeted them in Spanish. I told them that people in Mexico speaks Spanish.
While studying my lessons at home, hubby was listening while I was practicing my Spanish greetings. He interrupted and told me “ la gloria cubana”. I asked what’s the meaning of the word he just told me and he was laughing and told me to google it. I found out it wasn’t a greeting but a famous cigar brand in Cuba.
