“Santan” is a name of a Philippine flower. I don’t know if it has an international name. Anyway, this photo was taken when I was still 5 years old during our Barangay’s Coronation for the Flowers of May celebration. I was named Ms. Santan and my escort was my cousin Jeovanni. My cousin told me that he can’t anymore remember the details of the said event. As for me, all I can remember during this time was I want to go home because I don’t like my gown as it feels so itchy on my body.
