A good friend of mine whose son just graduated from high school was asking me about what would be the best college course that I would recommend for his son to pursue. The question came about because we’ve been talking a lot on the ever increasing unemployment and underemployment rate which has badly affected the economic stability of a lot of people we know.
Well, to answer his question, I asked him first if his son has special “likes”, “preferences”, or “wants” when it comes to college courses. He said his son likes everything that has to do with electricity. That gave me the idea to let him know about the numerous job openings for electrical engineering jobs I’ve heard from my colleagues. The good thing about the job openings for electrical engineers is that it’s not only in demand abroad; it’s also very much needed even in the local industries.
