We had our school’s Nutrition Month Celebration last July 27, 2013 with the theme “Gutom and Malnustrisyon, Sama-sama nating Wakasan”. The event was aimed to raise awareness on the need for more action in addressing hunger as part of the Philippine’s commitment to the United Nations Millennium Development Goal which is to eradicate extreme poverty and hunger. The event also provided a good opportunity for our students to eat the right kinds of food and how it can help them grow strong and healthy.
Celebrating Nutrition Month in our school was so much fun. We had games like banana eating contest, apple eating contest, name the fruits, vegetables and many others. We also had dance presentations and ‘Tula’ presentations from our students. The program was a bit delayed because the fuse for our EAW Speakers and other electronic devices got busted but thanks to a friend who helps us fix the problem the soonest. Nevertheless, we had a successful Nutrition Month celebration.
Here are some of the photos I got from our Celebration.
Banana Eating Contest
Fruits on the table. This one is my favorite… nothing compares to Philippine Mangoes.
The mangoes look so yummy!
Yummy indeed. Thanks for dropping by Wenn!
