Common Asthma Food Triggers

When I was hospitalized due to asthma, my doctor advised to do away with foods that would trigger asthma. She told me to avoid all kinds of yellow foods, like mango, banana, squash and etc. She even added that I should avoid eating citrus or oranges because the pulp can trigger asthma. She told me that if I want to get Vitamin C from those fruits, it’s better for me to take a Vitamin C tablet. I also have to refrain from eating chicken and shrimps, but thank God she did not mentioned about Lechon. So from now, I am avoiding all of these kinds of food but I just can’t refuse to eat banana.

I was also searching the internet today and I have found this list from www.bellaonline.com.  Here’s the list of food that can trigger asthma.

Oooops. That is a pretty long list of delicious foods that needs to be avaoided – all in the name of not getting an asthma attack. Oh well, better to be a good patient than to endure wheezing because of asthma.

I hope you get better soon!

Thanks for the information. We will be sharing this with our readers. I am sure a lot of people will benefit from the list you have provided.
