New Year’s Commitment

Happy New Year, Everyone! How are you doing on your New Year’s resolutions?

If you’re like most people, you’ve skipped your daily exercise, cheated on your diet, or you may have already fallen back into last year’s habits.

Most resolutions fail as developing new habits takes time and effort. We need to COMMIT

Here are ways how you can commit to doing this year.

Commit to Create a Goal.

Please write down your goals and be specific about them. Make sure that your goals for this year are reasonable and realistic. Once you have written your goals you can review them periodically and check your progress. You may also create specific goals for each area of your life, like marriage goals, travel destinations, money goals, etc.

Commit to Give Your Best.

Give your best in all that you do. When you always do your best, you will be amazed at the outcome of your actions, and you are more likely to be able to achieve your goals this year.

Commit to Never Give Up.

Always stick to your goals. Never give up if you fail along the process. If we don’t get something right the first time, we need to keep trying until we have reached our goal. As you move along the journey to your goals, there will be voices asking you not to take the dip, not to go ahead. However, don’t give in to those voices; stay focused on your goals, and keep going.

Commit to Reward Yourself.

Did you keep your commitment for the month? Reward yourself in some way. The reward could be something small like buying yourself new shoes or something you have wanted to have. Remember to focus on your goals, but do not push yourself too much. Celebrate small success and enjoy every minute of your journey this year.

Commit to Finish Well.

Finish what you have started. Don’t be like most people who are better only at the beginning yet accomplish nothing. Aim to finish what you started.
